PLC Programmer (Schneider, Siemens) | Intermediate‑Senior
Windsor, Ontario + Travel to USA
$45-48/hour
Full-time – Permanent

About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced PLC Programmer / Controls Programmer to join a dynamic automation and manufacturing team in Windsor. This is a hands‑on, technical role focused on designing, programming, and commissioning industrial automation systems. You will work in a collaborative engineering environment supporting new machine builds, upgrades, and plant automation initiatives. You’ll be working with leading platforms including Rockwell, Siemens, and Schneider, supporting full project life cycles from design through to commissioning.
WhatWe’re Looking For (Must‑Haves)
- Minimum 5+ years experience in PLC programming and controls automation
- Solid experience building programs from scratch
- Hands‑on experience with Schneider PLC systems (required)
- Proficiency with Rockwell and Siemens platforms
- Strong understanding of electrical and pneumatic systems
- Experience with machine commissioning, start‑up, and troubleshooting
- Ability to read and interpret technical electrical schematics
- Willingness to travel (including U.S. travel – passport required)
- Design, program, and implement PLC, HMI, and automation systems for manufacturing equipment
- Develop and troubleshoot ladder logic and control systems (Studio 5000, Factory Talk View, TIA Portal, Unity)
- Support machine start‑up, commissioning, and troubleshooting (electrical, pneumatic, and controls systems)
- Integrate robotics, machine vision, and IT systems into production environments
- Read and interpret electrical and pneumatic schematics
- Write clear technical documentation for system design and modifications
- Work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure project success
- Travel to client sites as required (including U.S. travel)
- Experience integrating robotics or machine vision systems
- Background in automotive or industrial manufacturing environments
- Strong documentation and technical writing skills
- Exposure to cross‑functional engineering teams
