Position: Senior Optical SerDes Engineer at Synopsys
Elevate high-speed optical engineering as a Senior Ser Des Engineer with Synopsys. Focus on developing robust models and algorithms for PCIe and Ethernet applications in optical systems.

As a Senior Engineer, you’ll integrate your extensive experience in analog and digital design to enhance Ser Des performance. Your responsibilities include running simulations, maintaining MATLAB models, and collaborating across teams to ensure system-level feasibility. You will play a pivotal role in supporting customer inquiries and troubleshooting design discrepancies, ensuring alignment with specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain Ser Des system models in Simulink

• Execute performance sign-off simulations for optical standards

• Engineer algorithms for tuning transceiver performance under varied conditions

• Correlate simulation data with physical silicon outcomes

• Assist customers with link budget and design challenges

Requirements:

• M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or similar field

• Deep knowledge of optical specifications and modeling techniques

• Experience with SERDES design at high speeds

• Strong debugging skills and system integration awareness

• Understanding of Verilog or System Verilog is a plus
