Lean Manufacturing Engineer

Position: Lean Manufacturing Engineer Opportunity
Advance your career at New Flyer as a Lean Manufacturing Engineer, focusing on implementing lean strategies and electrical system support. Enhance production efficiency with innovative solutions.

You will report to the Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor and be responsible for various engineering activities in assigned cells. Your work will include system troubleshooting, design support, and facilitating lean manufacturing initiatives like value stream mapping. You will lead efforts to resolve cross-functional challenges and update engineering documentation regularly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support engineering tasks within manufacturing cells

• Facilitate lean manufacturing projects and initiatives

• Review engineering change orders and notifications

• Specify equipment and tooling for production needs

• Participate in daily cell and metrics meetings

Requirements:

• Relevant degree in engineering or equivalent experience

• Lean certification or comparable experience necessary

• Proficient in AutoCAD; knowledge of Oracle is an asset

• Strong organizational and computer skills required

• Fast-paced manufacturing experience considered beneficial
