Become an HVDC Apparatus Engineer and tackle complex power systems in Winnipeg, MB. Collaborate with experts to develop specifications and ensure high-performance designs for converter stations.
We seek an HVDC Apparatus Engineer to join our Station Design team. In this role, you will engage in extensive analysis and negotiate procurement for AC and HVDC Converter Stations. Your work will span from equipment design reviews to providing expert advice on electrical apparatus, ensuring quality from concept to execution.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop technical specifications for complex Station Apparatus
• Analyze vendor data and lead negotiation processes
• Conduct design reviews to meet technical standards
• Provide consultation on apparatus application and design
• Liaise with consultants for project assignments
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum seven years' related utility experience
• Professional member of Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba
• In-depth knowledge of electrical codes and standards
• Valid Province of Manitoba Driver's Licence
