- Lead and contribute to Dam Safety Reviews, Dam Safety Inspections, and supporting technical reports, with an emphasis on structural performance and safety
- Support and lead detailed structural design, rehabilitation, and upgrade engineering for dams and appurtenant structures including spillways, powerhouses, intake structures, penstocks, outlet works, and gates
- Perform structural analysis and design of concrete and steel dam components, including static, dynamic, thermal, and seismic analyses in accordance with applicable codes and CDA guidelines
- Prepare and review tender documents and construction packages, and provide technical support during procurement
- Provide construction supervision and engineering support, including review of shop drawings, construction submittals, and site inspections as required
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and intermediate engineers
- Participate in business development activities, including proposal preparation, technical writing, client presentations, and participation in industry conferences and committees

- Degree in Civil or Structural engineering from a recognized university
- 15+ years of relevant professional experience in hydropower engineering and dam safety
- Current registration with EGM (or equivalent) as a professional engineer
- Demonstrated experience participating in at least three dam safety reviews
- Current knowledge of the CDA Dam Safety Guidelines and relevant international dam safety standards
- Advanced knowledge in structural engineering and applicable to dams and hydropower including steel and concrete design, seismic design, codes, standards, procedures, safety and other regulatory requirements and guidelines
- Professional engineer designation with EGM or equivalent
- Experience with structural analysis and design software such as SAP
2000 - Excellent spoken and written English communication skills. Additional languages such as Spanish or French are an asset
- Ability to travel and perform site work, where required
