Position: • Senior Process Engineer

Location

Cornerstone Engineering, 1144 29th Ave NE, Calgary, AB. Canada

Office-based, Monday to Friday 8am-5pm

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with other engineers, designers, and project managers across disciplines to design wellsite facilities, pipelines, compressor stations, gas plants, and conventional oil facilities.
  • Provide mentoring, assistance, and guidance to Junior/Intermediate Process Engineers.
  • Ensure appropriate use of mechanical engineering specifications in pipeline and facilities design, including pipe sizing and major/minor equipment sizing.
  • Review and develop drawings such as Plot Plan, PFD, P&, line lists, etc., to meet client and provincial standards and regulations.
  • Review vendor drawings for suitability and client preferences to ensure fit for application.
  • Participate in HAZOPs, design reviews, and interdisciplinary sessions to review technical issues and contribute input into process operability.
  • Conduct process simulations using Symmetry and/or HYSIS software.
  • Provide technical and engineering support to the operations team.
  • Work with discipline leads (electrical, instrumentation, and mechanical).
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Clients, and Vendors.
  • Provide development support for estimates, including discipline‑specific input.
  • Review and assist in developing DBMs, Control Narratives, Shutdown Keys, and other engineering documents.
  • Prepare, review, and/or check process calculations performed during projects.
  • Prepare project study reports to document findings for the client.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Minimum 15 years of Process Engineering experience.
  • Chemical Engineering degree with P.Eng. designation for Alberta.
  • O&G Experience in western Canada preferred.
  • Working knowledge of process design software such as Symmetry, HYSIS, and Pro Max.
  • Robust attention to detail and ability to work within a team setting.
  • Robust interpersonal skills to provide mentoring, guidance, and delegation of work to team members.
