Process Engineer - Water/Wastewater Treatment

Job Description

We are seeking a creative and highly skilled Process Engineer to join our water/wastewater treatment plants team in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The role involves project participation across all phases — from planning and feasibility to detailed design, construction, and commissioning — on municipal and industrial water/wastewater treatment, pumping stations/systems, and related infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities
  • Perform technical calculations and analysis to support design decisions.
  • Prepare technical reports and plans.
  • Review quantity and cost estimates for completeness and accuracy.
  • Provide contract administration, including reviewing contractor submittals and payment applications.
  • Offer technical support on construction projects, including site visits to confirm conformance to design drawings and specifications.
  • Coordinate the work of a multi‑discipline team of engineers.
  • Pursue and deliver new water/wastewater projects with private and municipal clients.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Civil, Biosystems, Chemical or Process Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience (or demonstrated equivalency) in the municipal water/wastewater industry.
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer in the province of Manitoba (or eligible to become registered within 6 months).
Preferred Qualifications
  • 6+ years of progressive experience in the municipal water/wastewater industry.
  • Strong familiarity with industry standards and a working knowledge of water and wastewater treatment design.
  • Willingness to travel to and visit active construction sites for field review services.
  • Experience working in the consulting industry and with project management concepts, principles, and duties.
  • Proven ability to write winning proposals and secure new work.
