Engineering Program Manager at Planet

Lead cross-functional initiatives as Planet's Engineering Program Manager in a hybrid role. Oversee satellite manufacturing strategies while ensuring effective communication with teams and external partners.

As an Engineering Program Manager at Planet, you will organize and guide multiple teams, driving program management to deliver hardware systems successfully. Your responsibilities will encompass high-level strategy, problem resolution, and schedule execution, requiring strong technical acumen in spacecraft design. Work onsite in San Francisco three days a week with international travel to Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive cross-functional team collaboration and problem-solving

• Manage and communicate program status and technical issues

• Set strategic direction for hardware systems development

• Coordinate with external manufacturers and suppliers

• Execute program schedules effectively and efficiently

Requirements:

• BA/BS in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field

• 6+ years in aerospace or manufacturing program management

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) processes

• Fluency in Swedish or German preferred
