Job Description

We’re looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our collaborative product development team and help design next‑generation infrared camera systems. In this role, you’ll work hands‑on across the full product lifecycle—bringing innovative concepts to life and seeing your designs move from prototype to production.

You’ll partner closely with electrical, optical, systems, and manufacturing engineers to create highly sophisticated, real‑world products used in impactful applications.

• Own and contribute to product development from concept through production:
• Collaborate cross‑functionally
• Drive quality and continuous improvement
• Deliver clear, high‑quality documentation

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or relevant work experience
• Strong experience with Solid Works (PDM experience a plus)
• Hands‑on experience with hardware assembly and testing
• Knowledge of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles
• Experience working with production teams and supporting builds

• Simulation experience (thermal, fluid, structural analysis)
• Knowledge of machining, sheet metal, or injection molding design
• Experience with optics or automated mechanical systems
• Familiarity with GD&T and 2D drawing standards

• Strong problem‑solving and analytical mindset
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, innovative environment
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Proactive, high‑energy approach to tackling challenges

• Occasional travel (~5%) to customer sites or test ranges
