Position: Mechanical Engineer for Talon-A Payloads
Lead mechanical integration at Stratolaunch as a Mechanical Engineer focused on Talon-A payloads. This role combines design engineering, analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver cutting-edge hypersonic technology.

Stratolaunch is seeking a Level II or Senior-level Mechanical or Structural Engineer to oversee experimental payload design and integration. You will collaborate with various teams to define interface requirements and perform structural and thermal analysis. Experience in CAD modeling and avionics packaging will be highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define integration requirements across multiple engineering subsystems

• Conduct structural and thermal analysis of payload components

• Create and manage 3D CAD models for Talon-A payloads

• Spec and order necessary hardware for implementations

• Assist fabrication teams to ensure accurate assembly of components

Requirements:

• Proficient in 3D CAD software, especially Solidworks

• 2-10 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience

• Strong communication skills for technical guidance

• Ability to adapt quickly to changing project priorities

• Eligibility for security clearance
