Join Stratolaunch as a Staff Solid Rocket Motor Propulsion Engineer in Mojave, CA, focusing on hypersonic vehicle rocket systems. Contribute to design, integration, and testing of groundbreaking propulsion technologies.
In this role, you will support the development of solid rocket motor systems at a senior level. Your key responsibilities include performing structural and thermal analyses, creating detailed engineering drawings, and assisting in component integration. You will handle a variety of technical data and actively participate in the testing of propulsion assemblies for hypersonic applications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, build, and test propulsion flight and ground hardware
• Perform structural and thermal analysis of components
• Create component and assembly drawings for testing
• Maintain work instructions for flight hardware installations
• Assist in integrating propulsion systems onto vehicles
Requirements:
• 10-20 years of engineering experience required
• Bachelor's degree in relevant field necessary
• Experience with CAD modeling and stress analysis
• Strong communication skills for technical challenges
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
