Reporting to the Construction Manager, the Sustainability Specialist will play a crucial role in implementing sustainable practices within the organization. With a minimum of two years of relevant experience, you will assess environmental impacts, support leadership in achieving corporate sustainability goals, and develop third-party certifications. Collaboration with senior leaders and stakeholders is essential to create long-term plans that balance environmental and business interests.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess environmental impacts of operations for improvement
• Develop and maintain sustainability certifications
• Analyze greenhouse gas inventory and metrics
• Coordinate waste audits and efficiency initiatives
• Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve environmental goals
Requirements:
• Undergraduate degree in Environmental Sciences or related field
• Minimum two years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of LEED and green building concepts
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Valid Manitoba Class 5 Driver's License
