The Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Music Director Daniel Raiskin, is announcing a vacancy for the position of Principal Timpani starting in the season. Interested candidates should prepare for international auditions scheduled for September 22, 2026. The position offers a salary of $53,910.72 for a 36-week season, along with benefits that include a 10% contribution to the Musicians Pension Fund of Canada, group life insurance, extended health care, accidental death and dismemberment coverage, and a dental plan.
Musicians in the orchestra are members of the Canadian Federation of Musicians.
