Tammy Boyko and Carlan Wilbon with Aplin have partnered with our client in the Healthcare industry to hire a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join their finance team for an immediate temporary opportunity in Winnipeg. This position will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy of financial records, reconciling accounts, and supporting year-end audit processes. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in accounting principles, SAP, and Excel, and possess a proven track record in financial analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and ensure accuracy of monthly journal entries (financial and statistical), including necessary approvals
• Reconcile and analyze general ledger financial and statistical accounts
• Coordinate the creation and maintenance of year-end audit files
• Tools & Systems:
• SAP (primary system)
• Advanced Excel for data manipulation and reporting

Qualifications

• CPA designation in good standing
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance
• Advanced proficiency in Excel
• Criminal background check is required
