Our Finance headquarters are located in Winnipeg, Canada where the accounting function is performed centrally for our facilities in North America, Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia. Generating over $4.0 billion in sales, the successful candidate will be exposed to accounting and operations on a global scale and build unique knowledge and expertise at one of the world’s largest independent maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) providers.

What

You’ll Do
  • Perform professional accounting work in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and reporting requirements.
  • Maintain general ledger accounts with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Prepare monthly journal entries.
  • Prepare, review, and file accurate and timely federal, state/provincial (e.g., US sales & use, GST/HST) filings.
  • Reconcile and analyze general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Participate in interim and year-end audit activities providing support and guidance as required.
  • Assist in the preparation of various internal and external reporting requirements including quarterly working papers and financial statement disclosure.
  • Interact with and advise various functional groups and remote locations.
  • Promote teamwork, cooperation and effective communication within the finance department.
What You’ll Bring

Required Qualifications
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in financial analysis.
  • Holds (or is actively pursuing) a recognized professional accounting designation (CA, CMA, CGA, or CPA). Individuals with an equivalent mix of experience and education will also be considered.
Preferred Characteristics
  • Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices (GAAP).
  • Proficiency in MS Office with a strong understanding of Excel.
  • Experience with public company reporting requirements is an asset.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle an asset.
  • Experience filing GST/HST, PST and US Sales & Use is an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail with interest in process improvement.
  • Ability to work independently – multitasking and prioritizing responsibilities to meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.
