As a Lending Specialist, you will work within the Consumer Lending department at Steinbach Credit Union. Your primary responsibilities include assessing loan applications, addressing member inquiries, and ensuring compliance with lending policies. Ideal candidates possess sales experience and have a solid understanding of lending principles along with strong organizational and time management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct member interviews to ascertain lending requirements

• Review and analyze applications for mortgages and lines of credit

• Provide accurate information on loans and resolve member concerns

• Follow up on daily reports to ensure actions are taken

• Collaborate with other departments to maximize sales opportunities

Requirements:

• 1 to 3 years of lending experience or related field

• Education in business is an asset

• Knowledge of financial documentation and analysis

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
