In this pivotal role, you will guide the Investment Operations team in managing essential functions supporting Canada Life’s investment portfolio. Your responsibilities include overseeing trading operations, reviewing financial reports, and leading process improvements. You will train and develop junior staff while collaborating with key business partners to ensure operational readiness of fund investments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee fund investment onboarding and operational limitations
• Lead analysis and compilation of quarterly financial reports
• Ensure smooth daily, month-end and quarter-end trading
• Interact with Investment Managers and internal departments
• Participate in process improvements and special projects
Requirements:
• Completion of a professional accounting designation
• Experience with funds and financial reporting considered an asset
• Strong leadership and decision-making abilities
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills
• Experience with SQL, Alteryx, or Power BI is a plus
