Join the City of Winnipeg as a Bylaw Support Worker, focusing on inspections and community engagement. This entry-level position emphasizes accountability and excellent customer service.
In this role, you will report to the Coordinator of Bylaw Field Operations and engage with the community by addressing complaints and ensuring compliance with local bylaws. Your proactive approach towards handling property inspections and issuing notices will directly contribute to the neighborhood's liveability and integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
• Address complaints related to neighborhood bylaw compliance
• Document and issue necessary notices following inspections
• Clarify compliance issues with property owners
• Conduct follow-up checks and re-inspect as needed
• Participate in mandatory training and orientation sessions
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent training/experience
• Interest in compliance and community education initiatives
• Effective English communication skills required
• Valid Manitoba Class 5 Driver’s License is essential
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods
