Play a vital role at Bird Construction as a Student Indigenous Relations Coordinator in Orillia, Ontario. This position focuses on community liaison, event planning, and enhancing understanding of Indigenous cultures.
This term position offers 4, 8, or 12 months of experience, starting in September 2026. As a coordinator, you will facilitate communication with Indigenous communities, assist in cultural events, and research best practices in community engagement. Your efforts will help embed Indigenous perspectives in organizational projects.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as a liaison for Indigenous community engagement
- Plan and participate in workshops and cultural events
- Conduct research on Indigenous policies and practices
- Collaborate with teams to integrate community perspectives
- Create training resources for staff awareness
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary program
- Relevant experience in advocacy or event planning
- Solid skills in Microsoft Office applications
- Highly developed communication and organizational skills
- Valid work permit for Bird Construction employment
