The Department of Families is seeking highly motivated and empathetic individuals to fill Interprovincial Clerk position.

Duties

The Interprovincial Clerk serves as the liaison between all Child and Family Services jurisdictions, coordinating Manitoba’s responsibilities related to interprovincial service requests and addressing child and family service needs involving Manitoba, other provinces and territories, the United States, and International Social Services. The position is responsible for originating, managing, and responding to service requests, issuing Missing Persons alerts, coordinating repatriations, and facilitating the provisions and requirements of the Provincial/Territorial Protocol on Children, Youth and Families Moving between Provinces and Territories.

This includes coordinating services for children entering or leaving Manitoba, supporting protocol implementation, and managing the initial stages of dispute resolution. The Interprovincial Clerk also maintains collaborative relationships with officials from the Authorities and their mandated agencies, interprovincial specialists, social workers, and international social service organizations to ensure the effective delivery and coordination of services.
