Make a difference as a Municipal Services Officer in Winnipeg. Play a key role in guiding local governments on governance, finance, and training needs.
Reporting to the Manager of Municipal Support and Advisory Services, you will focus on capacity building within municipalities.
Your role will involve working with councils to provide advice on operations and supporting struggling municipalities. Effective communication and problem-solving skills are essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Advise municipal officials on governance and finance matters
• Develop and conduct training programs for local governments
• Serve as a supervisor or administrator as needed
• Provide insights on proposed legislation and provincial programs
• Respond to public inquiries regarding municipal services
Requirements:
• Municipal Administrator’s Certificate or equivalent experience
• Extensive knowledge of municipal governance and finance
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive matters
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
