Become a key advisor in the Manitoba government as a Municipal Services Officer, guiding local governance and financial operations. This position supports community development through strategic advisory services.
The Municipal Services Officer plays a vital role in the Department of Municipal and Northern Relations, directly assisting municipal officials with governance and fiscal responsibilities. You will create training programs and may be required to travel to various municipalities to offer direct support during challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
• Advise municipal officials on administrative and financial matters
• Implement training initiatives for local government staff
• Step in as provincial Supervisor during oversight cases
• Respond to community inquiries regarding governance
• Analyze regulations for their impact on municipal operations
Requirements:
• Municipal Administrator's Certificate or similar qualifications
• Proven experience in municipal government or related fields
• Proficient communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong organizational skills to handle diverse responsibilities
• Valid Manitoba Class 5F Driver's licence
