The Manitoba government seeks an Inspector to evaluate property damages within the Emergency Management Organization. This role plays a vital part in documenting claims for Disaster Financial Assistance.
As an Inspector, you will report directly to the Manager of Funding Programs and independently assess damage claims in the field. Utilizing your background in building inspection, you’ll produce detailed reports and work with various claim types, including residential and small business damage assessments. Effective communication with stakeholders is essential for the role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct independent inspections of disaster-affected properties
• Document findings through reports and photographic evidence
• Enter data into the DFA claims management system
• Support administration of claims processing
• Handle sensitive stakeholder interactions with tact
Requirements:
• Proven experience in inspections and property assessment
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
• Excellent time management abilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Valid Class 5F Manitoba Driver's licence required
