Lead Senior Planner Long Range Strategy

The City of Niagara Falls seeks a Lead Senior Planner for Long Range Planning Initiatives. This full time role involves managing complex projects and providing expert planning opinions to advance strategic priorities.

As a Senior Planner, you will guide the development and implementation of strategic land use and policy initiatives. This position requires extensive municipal planning expertise, including collaboration with various stakeholders and oversight of planning studies. Your leadership will ensure compliance with provincial and local planning guidelines while enhancing community improvements.

• Lead complex long-range planning and development projects
• Manage consultant teams and project budgets effectively
• Prepare reports and present findings to Council
• Conduct land use studies and public consultations
• Provide expert testimony at local tribunals and courts

• Degree in Planning;
  Master's preferred
• Minimum four years of municipal planning experience
• Familiarity with provincial planning legislation
• Solid project management skills
• Class “G” driver’s license required
