The Transportation Energy Unit contributes to responsibilities of the divisions related to the transportation sector and for coordinating a whole-of-government approach to energy and climate policy and program delivery efficiently and effectively, including:
- Adopting leading practices, informed by scientific and economic analysis, to support the 2024 Affordable Energy Plan and the 2025 Pathway to Net Zero.
- Managing staff and supporting their career development and progress.
- Establishing partnerships and working collaboratively with stakeholders.
- Ensuring departments, agencies and partners meet key deliverables on time, on budget and with the expected results; and measuring, evaluating and reporting progress and results.
