The Department of Public Service Delivery is seeking qualified individuals to fill the Investigator position within the Public Guardian and Trustee Branch under Consumer Protection Division.
The Office of the Public Guardian and Trustee of Manitoba (PGT) is a provincial government Special Operating Agency that manages the affairs of Manitobans who are unable to do so themselves and have no one else willing or able to act on their behalf. The PGT is an office of last resort and provides essential services to clients for who the PGT is appointed to act which includes individuals deemed mentally incompetent, vulnerable persons, deceased estates and children.
Duties:
The Investigator is responsible for performing investigative functions to support the Public Guardian and Trustee (PGT) in the management of client affairs. This includes (without limitation) field work, conducting searches, preparing detailed inventories, taking possession and control of movable items from a client’s premises, obtaining appraisals for personal property, arranging for the sale or disposal of personal property, conducting interviews with clients’ families, securing properties, and arranging property maintenance and repairs.
