Work environment The Canadian Coast Guard (CCG) is a special operating agency within the Department of National Defence (DND). Intent of the process
The intent of this selection process is to fill positions in the following locations:
Newfoundland and Labrador:
Old Perlican, St. Anthony, Twillingate, Burgeo, Burin, Port aux Choix, Lark Harbour, St. John’s.
Nova Scotia:
Port Bickerton, Clarks Harbour, Sambro, Louisbourg, Westport, Dartmouth, Havre Boucher, Yarmouth.
New Brunswick:
Saint John, Shippagan, St. Andrews.
Prince Edward Island:
Summerside, Souris, Alberton.
A pool of partially or essentially qualified candidates may be established through this process and used to staff identical or similar positions with various employment tenures (temporary and permanent), language profiles, operational requirements, and conditions of employment at the Department of National Defence and the Canadian Coast Guard.
