Position Overview

The Physiotherapist will operate with high independence as part of a multidisciplinary regional rehabilitation team. Responsibilities include assessment, direct intervention, consultation, and education for children and/or adult populations across acute care, outpatient, long‑term care, client homes, schools, and community settings. The role may also provide clinical supervision to students and provisional members and support the education of other health professionals.

Education
  • Master’s or Baccalaureate Degree in Physiotherapy (BMR‑PT) or equivalent entry‑level requirement.
Certification / Licensure / Registration
  • Active registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Manitoba (CPM).
  • Eligible for membership with the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (CPA).
Qualifications and Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook/Email.
  • Effective oral and written communication.
  • Decision‑making and problem‑solving skills.
  • Organizational and time‑management abilities.
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with staff and external vendors.
  • Independent and teamwork capabilities.
  • Cross‑cultural respect and promotion of diversity.
  • Bilingual proficiency essential for designated bilingual positions.
  • Confidentiality management for paper, electronic and other formats.
  • Good work and attendance record.
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license, insured vehicle and liability insurance at least $1 000 000.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to meet physical and mental demands of the job.
  • No hazardous or significantly unpleasant conditions.
  • Occasional evenings, weekends required.
  • Travel to other regional facilities as duties require.
