Pensionable Salary Enhancement – Nurses in eligible classifications may be eligible to earn an additional $5.95/hour when working full‑time hours within a prescribed six-month reporting period (Effective April 1, 2025 – March 31st 2027).

Under the general supervision of the Manager Health Services, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface Hospital, the Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional registered nursing services for patients, including those with complex and unpredictable health needs. These services include independent nursing services, administration of prescribed medical treatments, a leadership role within the health care team, and coordination of patient care and discharge.

• Post‑graduate course in ICU Nursing or equivalent ICU experience required.

• Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing education program required.

• Current CRNM registration required.
• Active participation in professional associations e.g. Association of Regulated Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM) preferred.
• Annual BLS Level C Registration/Re‑Registration is required.

• Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA)/Registered Psychiatric Nurses Act.
• Demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates critical thinking/problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to respond to a variety of simultaneous demands.
• Demonstrated ability to recognize and pursue self‑development opportunities.
• Ability to perform independently and as a member of the health care team.
• Ability to function in a variety of demanding and stressful situations.
