Part Time Health Care Aide at Extendicare

Enhance the well-being of seniors as a Part Time Health Care Aide with Extendicare. Provide personal care, assist with daily living activities, and support residents' needs every shift.

In this role, you will work under the Director of Health & Wellness, following a care plan while ensuring compliance with Extendicare's standards. Ideal candidates will have experience with seniors, strong communication skills, and a background in personal care duties. You will assist residents with hygiene, meal preparation, and emotional support, all while maintaining confidentiality and a clean environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Adhere to the individualized care plans directed by supervisors

• Assist residents with personal care and daily living activities

• Observe and report changes in residents' conditions

• Prepare nutritious meals and maintain clean environments

• Provide cognitive and emotional support to residents and families

Requirements:

• Graduate of Health Care Aide program or equivalent

• Experience in community health services for seniors

• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification preferred

• Willing to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Check
