As a Lab Patient Technician, you will be integral in patient specimen collection and provide outstanding support throughout the testing process. Your responsibilities include everything from collecting blood samples to preparing specimens for transportation. The role requires flexibility as you may travel to various Patient Service Centers for coverage.
Key Responsibilities:
• Welcome patients and explain testing protocols
• Execute phlebotomies and ECG tracings
• Perform special test collections with accurate documentation
• Maintain communication with clients on testing updates
• Ensure proper specimen preparation for lab analysis
Requirements:
• Laboratory Assistant program graduate preferred
• Previous phlebotomy skills beneficial
• Fear of ECG procedures a plus
• Typing proficiency of 40 wpm necessary
• Exceptional customer service and people skills
