Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist Needed

Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Specialist Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist. This exciting role focuses on providing therapy for children with severe learning difficulties in Perseid special schools.

As a highly autonomous therapist, you'll handle assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans tailored to children and young people's complex communication needs. Collaborating closely with families and educational teams, you will play a pivotal role in improving social and emotional development through effective speech and language interventions. Your efforts will significantly impact their ability to participate in daily activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialist assessment and treatment for your caseload

• Manage eating and drinking difficulties with appropriate solutions

• Train families to execute therapy programs successfully

• Implement AAC devices for clients with complex needs

• Partner with school management in service development

Requirements:

• Expertise in pediatric speech and language therapy

• Proven ability to work independently

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Experience training staff in therapy methods

• Knowledge of AAC technologies is beneficial
