Extendicare Part-Time Health Care Aide

Become a part-time Health Care Aide at Extendicare, where you can provide compassionate care to seniors. Assist with personal care and daily living activities while enhancing well-being.

In this role reporting to the Director of Health & Wellness, you will carry out personal care tasks under the guidance of a supervisor. Key responsibilities include facilitating mobility, preparing meals, and observing patient conditions to communicate effectively with the care team. Commitment to quality care and strong communication skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Observe and report on changes in residents’ conditions

• Provide daily personal care and hygiene support

• Assist with resident transfers and ambulation

• Uphold confidentiality of resident information

• Engage with care agencies as directed

Requirements:

• Graduate of Health Care Aide program or equivalent

• Experience in community health settings

• Strong organizational skills and customer focus

• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification preferred

• Must obtain a Vulnerable Sector Check
