Extended Care Health Aide Selkirk

Become a Health Care Aide at Extendicare’s Red River Place LTC in Selkirk, Manitoba. This part-time role involves providing essential personal care and emotional support to residents.

You will be under the guidance of the Director of Health & Wellness and expected to adhere to all regulatory standards and Extendicare’s policies. Ideal candidates will have graduated from a Health Care Aide program and have a passion for serving seniors in the community. You will assist residents with personal care and daily living, while also observing and reporting any significant changes in their conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care and hygiene assistance

• Report observations to supervisors for resident care

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals to residents

• Facilitate safe resident movement and mobility

• Maintain a safe and clean environment for all

Requirements:

• Must be a graduate of a recognized program

• Previous experience in senior care is essential

• Excellent communication and organizational abilities

• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification is advantageous

• Vulnerable Sector Check is mandatory
