Recreation Aide

Position: Recreation Aide at Extendicare
Join Extendicare as a part-time Recreation Aide and help design impactful programs for seniors in your community.

Your role will foster meaningful engagement and strengthen communications.

As a Recreation Aide, you will work closely with the Recreation Manager to enhance the lives of residents through carefully planned programs. Your responsibilities also include record maintenance and attending in-service education to keep you informed about elderly care trends. This position is essential in building connections among residents, families, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate to plan and implement programs for residents

• Maintain accurate records of resident participation

• Communicate effectively with residents and families

• Facilitate outings to enrich residents' experiences

• Assist in meal service as required

Requirements:

• College diploma in Recreation or related field

• Experience working with seniors is essential

• Strong communication skills, both oral and written

• Class 4 or Class F driver’s license needed

• Recent Vulnerable Sector Check required
