Rehabilitation Counsellor for Youth Services

Shared Health is looking for a dedicated Rehabilitation Counsellor in Portage la Prairie to provide essential services for youth dealing with addiction. This in-person role emphasizes compassionate care and client involvement.

In the role of Rehabilitation Counsellor 1, your primary focus will be on delivering treatment and support services for a diverse clientele. You'll be responsible for conducting assessments, managing cases, and facilitating educational sessions. Your expertise will guide clients in their recovery journeys while adhering to a client-centered service model.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess client needs and develop service plans

• Offer one-on-one and group counseling sessions

• Coordinate educational workshops focusing on recovery strategies

• Manage cases with effective referral systems

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for holistic support

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences or equivalent

• Minimum one-year experience in supervised counseling

• Effective communication and counseling skills

• Training in Motivational Interviewing methods
