Join New Directions as a Direct Support Worker in Winnipeg, MB, and play a vital role in enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities. Provide essential support while fostering a caring community.
This Full-Time Term position within Shift Staffed Homes involves delivering person-centered assistance to those with intellectual and developmental challenges. Your responsibilities will include administering medications, facilitating transportation, and performing household duties, all within a non-judgmental and safe environment. Continuous training opportunities will be available to support your growth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Work collaboratively to provide care and guidance
• Administer medication accurately to clients
• Transportation support for clients as needed
• Maintain cleanliness through household chores
• Participate in essential training and development opportunities
Requirements:
• Completed Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent
• Active Class 5 Driver’s License required
• Experience in direct support work is advantageous
• First Aid/CPR certification recommended
• Knowledge of ASL is an asset
