Southern Health Manager - Surgery & Oncology

Shape the future of health services at Southern Health-Santé Sud as a Manager in Surgery and Cancer Care. This role is based in Portage la Prairie and focuses on improving patient care delivery.
As a Health Services Manager, you will report to the Acute Care Director and play a pivotal role in managing services related to surgery, obstetrics, and oncology. You will lead policy implementation, optimize resource management, and promote quality improvement efforts, grounded in at least five years of management experience in healthcare settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage health services for surgery and cancer care

• Promote and evaluate quality improvement strategies

• Manage budget resources and team performance

• Establish community partnerships for better health outcomes

• Support education and research initiatives within the organization
Requirements:

• Minimum five years of experience in health care management

• Baccalaureate Degree in a relevant clinical discipline

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Knowledge of lean methodology and patient safety

• Must hold a valid driver’s license with insurance
