Join Extendicare's team as a Full Time Rehabilitation Aide, providing essential therapy support for residents under the guidance of the Occupational Therapist. Engage in developing personalized therapy programs and ongoing resident evaluations.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for those with a passion for therapeutic care in a long-term setting. Collaborate closely with the Occupational Therapist and staff, utilizing your expertise in physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy practices. As a Rehabilitation Aide, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the residents' quality of life through individualized care plans and daily therapy sessions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement individualized therapy programs
• Coordinate and conduct physiotherapy exercise classes
• Provide daily therapeutic sessions in OT absence
• Maintain accurate clinical records for residents
• Assist in fostering a supportive care environment
Requirements:
• Graduate of Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Experience in long-term care settings required
• Oral and written fluency in English
• Knowledge of physio/OT techniques in care
• Willingness to pursue further education
