Extendicare Health Care Aide

Position: Extendicare Health Care Aide Role
Assist residents as a Health Care Aide at Extendicare's Red River Place in Selkirk, Manitoba. Provide essential personal and daily living care in a supportive environment.

This part-time position involves working closely with residents to meet their personal care needs while adhering to healthcare regulations and Extendicare's policies. Under the supervision of the Director of Health & Wellness, you will help with hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility support, ensuring residents receive quality care tailored to their requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Follow the care plan as directed by supervisors

• Report on resident care and service using Extendicare tools

• Assist residents with daily living and personal hygiene

• Provide emotional support to residents and families

• Ensure a clean, safe, and organized environment

Requirements:

• Completed Health Care Aide program with proven experience

• Excellent communication and customer service abilities

• Familiarity with personal care responsibilities

• Current certification in Basic Life Support preferred

• Committed to undergoing a Vulnerable Sector Check
