Enhance nutritional care as a Dietary Aide at Portage Regional Health Centre. In this casual position, you will prepare, serve, and distribute nutritious meals while ensuring safety standards.
Reporting to the Site Coordinator, you will contribute to client care through safe meal preparation and support staff and visitors.
Your role includes cashier duties and adhering to sanitation guidelines in a health-focused environment. Strong knowledge of therapeutic diets and prior food handling experience are key to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and serve meals to clients and visitors
• Perform cashier duties and manage cash transactions
• Follow stringent sanitation and food safety procedures
• Work independently to prioritize daily tasks
• Collaborate within a diverse community and maintain confidentiality
Requirements:
• Six months of experience in food handling or health services
• Dietary Aide certificate completion required
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license and insured vehicle
• Ability to lift up to 23 kg occasionally
• Bilingual proficiency preferred for designated roles
