Position: Manitoba Home Care Attendant Role
Location: Portage la Prairie

Take on a fulfilling role as a Home Care Attendant with Southern Health‑Santé Sud in Manitoba, working directly with elderly and disabled individuals. This position is temporary and requires in-person commitment.

The role emphasizes community engagement and delivering care to clients at all life stages. A Grade 12 education and certification in home care are essential. Ideal candidates demonstrate critical thinking, cultural respect, and the ability to thrive both independently and in a team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver personal care and assistance daily

• Maintain client safety and hygiene standards

• Safeguard clients’ confidential information

• Collaborate with other health care providers

• Travel across the region for client needs

Requirements:

• Completion of Grade 12 education

• Home Care Attendant Certificate or Health Care Aide equivalent

• Class 5 driver’s license with vehicle insurance

• Proven reliability and attendance

• Ability to handle physical demands of the job
