Working under the supervision of the Program Team Manager in Pediatric Outpatient Nursing, the Unit Assistant’s primary responsibilities include scheduling appointments, preparing examination rooms, and performing receptionist duties. You will also assist patients, manage charts, and order supplies. Your commitment to the mission of St. Boniface Hospital is vital in delivering equitable healthcare.
Key Responsibilities:
• Schedule appointments and consultations for patients
• Prepare examination rooms for incoming patients
• Assist patients and maintain charts effectively
• Perform receptionist duties in various healthcare settings
• Order supplies and process physicians' orders
Requirements:
• Minimum of six months' experience on a nursing unit
• Grade 12 education or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of computer systems
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Physically capable of assisting patients in wheelchairs
