Health Sciences Centre Unit Assistant

Contribute to patient care as a Unit Assistant at Shared Health's Health Sciences Centre, Manitoba. This in-person role requires exceptional organizational skills and effective communication for daily operations.

Shared Health is seeking a Unit Assistant to support clinical functions in an in-person capacity. Ideal candidates will have previous patient care experience and a successful completion of a recognized Health Care Aide course. Responsibilities include managing workload effectively, following workplace policies, and assisting the health care team with patient transfers and care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Organize and prioritize tasks for patient support

• Assist in lifting, transferring, and transporting patients

• Communicate effectively with team members and patients

• Maintain compliance with health regulations and policies

• Participate in training relevant to position requirements

Requirements:

• Completion of a recognized Health Care Aide course

• Previous experience in patient care preferred

• Excellent command of the English language

• Ability to handle physical demands of the role

• Satisfactory Criminal Records Check required
