Senior ETL Developer

We are seeking a Senior ETL Developer to support a large-scale Data & Analytics transformation initiative. This role is part of a multi-phase program focused on modernizing and consolidating enterprise data into a centralized Operational Data Store (ODS) and Data Warehouse using Azure-based technologies.

This is a hands-on senior technical role with architectural influence, working closely with cross-functional business and technical stakeholders.

• Consolidating Finance, HR, Academic, and legacy systems into a centralized Data Warehouse
• Retiring legacy ODS infrastructure
• Migrating historical data into a Lakehouse architecture in Azure
• Enabling modern analytics and reporting capabilities (Power BI portals, transcript services, etc.)
• Delivering in phased, iterative releases

• Design Azure Synapse components aligned with enterprise standards and best practices
• Develop and maintain:
• SQL Pools (Dedicated & Serverless)
• Data Flows
• Datasets and Linked Services
• Provision, configure, and optimize Azure Synapse components for performance, scalability, and reliability
• Contribute to enterprise Data Warehouse data modeling and architecture design
• Review solution architecture and provide technical recommendations
• Investigate and resolve Synapse-related issues
• Provide input into monitoring, logging, and reporting frameworks
  
  Document developed components and configurations
• Mentor team members on Azure Synapse best practices

• Senior-level experience as an ETL Developer or Azure Data Engineer
• Strong experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF)
• Advanced SQL skills and Data Warehouse development experience
• Experience with ETL/ELT design and enterprise data integration
• Exposure to Lakehouse architecture and modern cloud data platforms
• Ability to work in complex, enterprise environments
