SAP Basis Lead

Position

Description:

SAP Basis Consultant provides technical support and leadership on SAP Basis systems including establishing standards and requirements, evaluating and directing enhancements, and implementing solutions for performance monitoring, and systems configuration, design and implementation. This role will require a strong background in SAP BASIS administration, along with hands‑on involvement in project-related activities, particularly brownfield migration work. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SAP system management, performance tuning, and system migrations, with the ability to manage complex tasks in a dynamic project environment.

• Provide day-to-day SAP BASIS support for SAP ECC, S/4 HANA on‑prem and PCE systems including SAP hub systems
• Monitor system performance, manage backups, and perform regular health checks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to SAP systems.
• Ensure high availability and performance of SAP environments
• Plan, execute, and manage SAP system support pack upgrades and enhancement packs.
• Perform system migrations, including OS/DB migrations and Unicode conversions.
• Collaborate with functional and technical teams to ensure seamless upgrades and migrations.
• Conduct thorough testing to ensure system integrity post‑upgrade/migration
• Manage end to end resolution of Major Incident (Priority 1 and
  2) and determine Root Cause
• Closely collaborate with client’s 3rd party vendors supporting Infra and other systems connecting to SAP
• Collaborate with project teams to plan and execute brownfield migrations from legacy SAP systems to new environments (e.g., SAP S/4
  
  HANA)
• Handle compatibility checks, system configuration, and optimization for the migration process
• Troubleshoot migration‑related issues and optimize systems post‑migration
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, procedures, and standards.
• Develop and enforce best practices for SAP BASIS administration.
• Heterogeneous and homogeneous Client Copies, SUM experience and DMO experience

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business or other relevant fields
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in SAP BASIS
• Knowledge and experience in BASIS HANA
• Strong communication skills
• SAP Certifications will be preferred
