As a Graduate Data Scientist, you will work under the guidance of senior data scientists to analyze complex datasets, develop predictive models, and extract actionable insights that drive business decisions. Key Responsibilities- Assist in the collection, cleaning, and preprocessing of large datasets from various sources.
- Support the development and implementation of statistical models and machine learning algorithms.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
- Help build and test predictive models under the supervision of senior data scientists.
- Generate reports and visualizations to communicate findings and insights.
- Collaborate with team members to understand project requirements and contribute to data‑driven solutions.
- Learn and apply new data science techniques and tools.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on data analysis strategies.
- Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the analysis process.
- Assist in documenting methodologies and results.
- Recent Masters or PhD degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- Strong foundational knowledge of statistical concepts and machine learning algorithms.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with relevant libraries (e.g., Pandas, Num Py, Scikit-learn).
- Familiarity with SQL and database querying.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn, Tableau) is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude toward acquiring new skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high‑quality work.
- Knowledge of big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) is an advantage but not required.
- Previous internship or project experience in data science is highly desirable.
