Int. Infrastructure Specialist with Tomcat/JBoss middleware support and experience in platform integration, automation, and production support for our financial services client.

Duration: 12 Months
Location: Toronto (Hybrid, 3x/week)
On-call: Weekly ( after hours 5pm – 7 am ) on a 4-week cycles.
Role Overview
As an Engineer Specialist you will play a critical role in enabling secure, reliable, and scalable technology environments that support key business operations. This role focuses on infrastructure integration, automation, and platform support. You will work closely with internal partners and external vendors to integrate solutions, reduce risk, remediate vulnerabilities, and modernize environments by moving from manual to automated processes. This is a hands-on role well suited for someone who enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges, working in regulated environments, and continuously improving how systems operate.
What you will do
Integrate, support, and maintain infrastructure platforms and middleware across multiple environmentsAutomate infrastructure and environment processes, enabling a shift from manual to automated workflowsPartner with vendors to integrate externally developed solutions into internal platformsSupport application servers, databases, certificates, and security‑related configurationsIdentify, assess, and remediate infrastructure and platform vulnerabilities in alignment with enterprise risk and security standardsPerform light scripting and configuration tasks (e.g., SQL scripting, basic Java analysis) to support integrations and troubleshootingMonitor systems proactively to identify risks, performance issues, or potential outagesRespond to incidents, participate in triage, and drive resolution with internal teams and vendorsParticipate in an on‑call rotation, supporting production environments approximately one week every 4–5 weeksCollaborate within an agile, squad‑based team environment and contribute to documentation and standard operating procedures.Must Haves:
3+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, systems integration, platform support
, or a related technical roleHands‑on experience with infrastructure automation and environment integrationWorking knowledge of application servers (e.g.,
Tomcat, JBoss
, or similar technologies)Experience with databases, SQL scripting, and infrastructure troubleshootingExposure to vulnerability management, certificates, and security or risk remediationExperience working in complex or regulated environments (financial services strongly preferred)
