Elevate your career as a Server Infrastructure Lead with Manitoba Hydro, ensuring the reliability and performance of critical server systems. This role emphasizes leadership in Windows and Unix system administration within a supportive team environment.
In this pivotal position, you will report to the Infrastructure Technologies Manager and oversee the design and management of enterprise server environments, including various operating systems. Your expertise will guide the planning and execution of complex IT projects while ensuring availability, security, and compliance. Collaboration is key, as you'll work with multiple teams to optimize server performance and innovate solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead Windows Server and Unix Management sections
• Supervise enterprise-wide IT projects and technical upgrades
• Enable automation adoption with Ansible and SCCM
• Act as a lead resource for the COTSI replacement project
• Maintain 24/7 support coverage for critical systems
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science plus 6 years of experience
• Or diploma in Computer Technology plus 8 years of experience
• Strong understanding of server operating systems
• Ability to lead IT teams and manage projects
• Knowledge of NERC CIP standards and compliance
