Elevate your career with CHCH as a Part-Time Broadcast Technician, ensuring the smooth operation of live broadcasts and technical systems.
Your role will significantly impact our community news delivery.
In this position, you’ll be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining vital broadcast technology. With a minimum of 2-3 years' experience in television production, you will master the use of both traditional and modern broadcasting technologies. You will play a critical role in on-air support and assist remote operations as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide technical support for live broadcasts
• Perform diagnostic repairs on broadcast equipment
• Manage the integration of IP-based systems
• Assist in setting up operations for field reporting
• Quickly respond to on-air technical issues
Requirements:
• Education in Broadcast Engineering or related field
• 2-3 years experienced in a broadcasting environment
• Proficient in HD/SDI and audio systems
• Knowledge of TCP/IP and NDI/Dante is an asset
• Valid Ontario Driver’s License required
